THE WINE CELLAR AND CELLAR HALL

In Kau Manor’s vaulted cellar, which is in the oldest part of the Manor, hides the restaurant's Wine Cellar. When this historical vaulted space, that estimably dates back to the 13th century, was used in creating the Wine Cellar, wine racks were made out of the old wood found from the Manor.
A cavernous gothic lounge next to the Wine Cellar is an ideal space for intimate gatherings and private functions for groups up to 20 guests.

Book our Cellar for a private event beneath the time-honored beauty of 13th century vaulted ceilings.

The Cigar Room

The indoor smoking room offers a comfortable place to relax and unwind with soothing jazz and smooth drinks.
An intimate setting for quiet and enjoyable conversation.

The Baroness

Baroness Room is a small pellucid dining room with intimate atmosphere. This inspiring room has restored wall paintings and working bread baking oven.

JAAN'S

Jaan’s is a large event hall that opened in 2016. The place was named after Estonia’s most famous writer Jaan Kross and can seat up to 200 people depending on the set-up. The vibrant flexible space is equipped with built-in bar, and has a performance area. Ideal for hosting gala dinners, weddings and corporate functions the room reflects the excitement and casual, friendly-focused spot that recreates the lively feel of turn-of-the-century European cafes. Jaan’s is located at the entrance of the Manor grounds and functions in its own building close to the first pond. In the summer it blooms into a beautiful leafy corner with an outside patio space and beautiful views.

The space has comfortable seats, white marble ornate tables and 14 large white globes throwing beautiful light to its large wooden beams with 4m ceilings. Sounds of blues, jazz and old rag time fill the air and a passer-by can see in the mind’s eye men in good suits or sneakers, blacksmiths, farmers, drinking old fashion cocktails and eating smoked fish or deliciously prepared grilled dishes. This space is truly ideal for a wedding, party or any corporate event.

The Absinthe House

Absinthe was the drink of choice among artists and writers in the mid to late-19th century, among others Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Toulouse-Lautrec, Charles Baudelaire, Edgar Allen Poe, and Ernest Hemingway.
Walk on the wild side and enjoy our very special Absinthe House where art, literature, music, and the green fairy are mixed in a sensorial cocktail that enraptures all guests who dare try it.
Located by a little pond and next to the orchard, the Absinthe House is a beautiful setting that can be booked for a variety of events, such as garden parties and romantic wedding ceremonies.
